Gerry is passionate about Ireland and its history, so much so that he is studying Irish Studies at the National University of Ireland in Galway. So he’s an expert on Irish language and culture and will readily answer any questions you may have for him! He’s lived in the West of Ireland for most of his life and considers himself a true Galwayman.

His other passion is sports, all kinds of sports, but in particular Gaelic Games, soccer and cycling – he recently cycled the length and breadth of Ireland and most of Europe. He loves to attend a good music session or concert. His favorite places include Dingle but also less traveled locations in Roscommon, Mayo and Donegal – and can point you in the direction of Queen Maeve’s tomb in County Sligo.

If you’re planning a trip to Ireland, Gerry recommends that you check out the Midleton Jameson Experience, the Irish whiskey museum and visitor centre located in the Old Midleton Distillery in Midleton, County Cork. It’s a great tour with super guides, and you even get a tasting too! There’s lots of ideas and suggestions in the Ireland Chauffeur Travel blog. His other tip? Don’t worry about the weather! Just bring the right rainwear and try to work around, and you’ll be grand!

Gerry looks forward to welcoming you and showing you the best of what Ireland has on offer.
