Mary O’Leary was born in, lives in and loves West Cork. She also loves food and farming – and has ventured so far as France to live and explore beef farming with her family – and even speaks French too! So she’s a veritable expert on all things agriculture and food, and will share great insights with you as to why Irish cuisine is amongst the best in the world.

Her other passions are showing guests around the beautiful scenery of Ireland, whilst giving them a taste for our culture and traditions. Mary also loves to visit one or two historic houses and gardens on the way – Downtown Abbey has nothing on the gems on offer here in Ireland. Ballyfin is a superb example of a typical palladian mansion with extensive gardens and man-made lake and Powerscourt will surely impress in County Wicklow. Truly one of the highlights of your trip to Ireland.

Have you ever heard of the Irish tradition of a wishing tree – ask Mary about this fascinating old tradition of tying ribbons to hawthorn trees, to seek blessings from the fairies. If you visit Ireland in May or June, you will see this quirky superstition still happening all over the countryside. Mary will be able to show you the best spots!

Mary’s advice for would-be visitors to Ireland? Be ready to relax and enjoy the different landscapes, colors, great people and authentic experiences that Ireland has to offer. She looks forward to showing them to you!

“Mary was wonderful. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. I would definitely use Ireland Chauffeur Travel again.”
