A Wonderful Adventure- June 2023

My husband and I, along with our four other friends, thoroughly enjoyed an incredible weeklong trip through Ireland in June, thanks to Ireland Chauffeur Travel. Bob Noonan (our driver/tour guide) and Alison Lonergan (travel advisor) were absolutely amazing and I can’t thank them enough. We felt SO lucky to have Bob as our guide! His impressive deep knowledge of Ireland’s history and culture really made a huge difference in our experience on this trip, and he went out of his way to show us so many beautiful landscapes. An Irish experience beyond what we thought was possible – May 2023

We have just completed an amazing tour with Ireland Chauffeur Travel. Alison Lonergan worked with us and put together an itinerary that covered everything we could have hoped to see and experience.
Our guide Siobhan Morrissey, was more than we could have hoped for. Her extensive knowledge of the country and her ability to share it with us was impressive. She went out of her way to ensure we saw everything possible and showed us many hidden gems. She was also incredibly helpful in dealing with the logistics of wheelchair travel. She is incredibly kind and patient.

Our experience was absolutely fantastic – March 2023

Our family of 4 (two young teens) booked a week with Ireland Chauffer travel - our experience was absolutely fantastic! Our Itinerary spanned from Galway to Northern Ireland and in between. We traveled with Ireland Chauffeur Travel September 10-17, 2022. I had taken prior trips to Ireland with a private driver and a CIE bus tour. Both were terrific and I had a good idea of places that I wanted my husband and friends to see. I chose Ireland Chauffeur Travel because they seemed to be very flexible about rescheduling a future trip if we were unable to go this year due to Covid or other reasons. They use comfortable Mercedes SUV’s for touring.
I gave a list of places I wanted to visit, experiences I wanted to have, and dates of travel to my contact, Michelle Lee. She developed an itinerary and suggested additional activities to include in our trip. Michelle was terrific to work with, responded promptly and kindly to my emails as we developed our tour. The hotels we stayed at were all 4 star and were centrally located for walking to restaurants and attractions in the evening.
John Healy, our Driver/Guide, was a perfect match and related well to each of us. He was very professional, always prompt on our 10-6 daily tour, well traveled internationally, had good historical knowledge of all the places we visited and took us to many places that weren’t on our itinerary that we enjoyed immensely. Our friends and my husband sing praises for John and all the wonderful experiences we had on our tour.

Wonderful family trip! – Sept 2022

My family of four had a wonderful week in Ireland with our driver Frances. We had a round-trip tour starting and ending in Dublin, heading to the west coast and back. It made it so special to have a tour guide that could recommend the best places to visit and eat with two children (6&11). So much less stressful and enjoyable than renting a car and self-guiding, worth every penny!

Excellent Travel Company – Aug 2022

Just returned from our second private guided tour that we have booked with this company. First time was about 5 years ago when we flew in and out of Shannon and toured the West and Dublin.
We did the north for 5 days after 3 days in Dublin. Our driver/guide Mr. Bobby Walsh was excellent! He is skilled experienced driver and friendly, amiable and very knowledgeable of history. Had excellent tours on way to Belfast from Dublin in spacious, comfortable and clean Mercedes van. All passengers, me, my wife and two adult children had all needs met regarding travel, sites and dining. Mr. Walsh gave a great tour of Belfast to include Falls Road and Shankill Road (‘political tour.’). Did Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, Derry/Londonderry with extra tour by Dermot McCluskey. Stayed in Donegal Town. Slieve League , Marble Arch caves. Saw all the counties of Ulster ( both in Northern Ireland and the Republic )with much detail. Ate local always with spot on recs from Bobby.
Always ask for Bobby Walsh if you tour Ulster. He literally and figuratively goes the extra mile!

Trip of a Lifetime – Aug 2022

We've never traveled by private tour, but I'm so glad we did and that we chose Ireland Chauffeur Travel. We spent 10 days in Ireland, 7 of which were on tour with Bob, and we are still filled with gratitude for the wonderful memories he helped us create. On the front end, we worked with Alison to create a basic itinerary that would accommodate our family of 6 ranging in age from 18-75. She made sure that we had fantastic lodging, convenient airport shuttles, wheelchairs, and a route that allowed us to visit family.
The real star of the show was our tour guide, Bob, who constantly strove to make sure we had the best experience possible. Within 5 minutes of meeting Bob and seeing how he dealt with all of our special needs, I realized how lucky we were to have someone so patient, caring and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond by talking to our relatives and making sure the schedule worked for an extended visit. I could go on and on about Bob, but in the end, we felt we had traveled through Ireland with a friend and will always cherish these memories of our trip of a lifetime.

We had so much fun!!!! – Aug 2022

We just spent 12 days with Bob and could not have asked for a better experience. He has an awesome demeanor, and the patience of a Saint. We saw places we would have never known without him. If you ever met Bob in any other aspect in life, he would be your friend. His insight, historical knowledge, and recommendations made this one of the best trips of our life. Michelle Lee’s assistance with the pre-planning and itinerary couldn’t have been better. She listened to our requests and then fulfilled those needs along with nudges for other opportunities. The hotel choices were perfect. I can not recommend this team enough. We had so much fun!!!!

Amazing Ireland vacation guaranteed! – July 2022

I can't recommend Ireland Chauffeur Travel highly enough! From the first day of planning, through the entire trip, Michelle Lee, and everyone I talked with in the office, was tremendous to work with. Michelle was very flexible and accommodating. She provided lots of options and recommendations and answered all my questions throughout the planning process. Trip was fully customizable, which was very helpful as planning around schedule and interests of family of 9. Accommodations were very nice. She provided excellent customer service all around! Bob Noonan was our driver. He could not have been more hospitable, knowledgeable and professional. Roads in Ireland are narrow and we felt completely comfortable with Bob driving. Van had very comfortable seating with large windows, a great way to view and learn about the country as travel place to place. Hands down, this was the best experience we have had traveling. From the time I reached out and started the conversation with Michelle to the very last moment of our two week visit every detail was amazingly perfect. Michelle handled putting together our itinerary based on the things we wanted to see, all hotel/Bed & Breakfast reservations and even got us tickets for New Grange to be sure we would be able to visit it. The B&Bs were all fabulous, breakfast was included and delish, but by far the best part of the experience was our driver and guide, Siobhan! Siobhan was absolutely engaged in making sure that we had a memorable trip. She made terrific suggestions for things to see and places to go and she definitely helped us maximize our time and ability to see and experience everything we could. We can’t wait to go back and visit this beautiful place and the lovely new friend we made!!

The company gave us a truly wonderful man named Tom McDonald to drive us from Dublin to Ashford Castle and around the west to south to east and back to Dublin. Not only was Tom a great driver, he was engaging, personable, he could make friends in 2 minutes with anyone, accommodating, hospitable, flexible when we wanted to change a stop, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable about his beautiful country and it’s history.

I have been working with Alison since October. She was very helpful with our restaurant bookings, recommending a mix of traditional and "foodie" fare at stops along our tour. I wanted to write to thank Alison so much for arranging our day trip to Howth and our 3 day trip to the west coast of Ireland. Tom, our driver to Howth was just great. What a treat!

We engaged Ireland Chauffeur Travel in October 2019 for a private tour. Our driver John was just what the doctor ordered. He was great fun to be with for the day-informative and knowledgeable wherever we ventured to journey. By the end of the trip (one week) we all felt like family. Our accommodations were perfect too. We want to come back and continue the tour for the southern route in Ireland. Our celebration travel continued on to England, France, and Rome with a transatlantic crossing back to the USA. From pick-up to drop-off we had a truly luxury experience

From booking with Joe through to our fabulous tour in Belfast, things could not have been easier. Everyone I dealt with in the office at Ireland Chauffeur Travel was efficient and helpful. Our driver, who took us from Belfast, up the Antrim Coast, and then back through Belfast on a wonderful city tour, was informative and attentive. My mother has issues walking and we never had to worry about the car being too far away or her having to walk long distances. The car was spacious and we were comfortable throughout our day trip. Highly Recommended!!

In April 2019 we worked with Alison. She prepared an excellent, 2 week itinerary, including road trip, sights and great accommodations. Our Driver/Guide, Bob Noonan met us on our first touring day. This was a "bucket list" trip for our family of 6 (adults). It exceeded our expectations. The vehicle was luxurious, clean and brand new! All the events and accommodations Joe suggested were great. Highly recommend for anyone worrying about driving in Ireland

We recently got back from a 10 day trip around Ireland where we used Ireland Chauffeur Travel to help us get around. Our driver's name was Peter and he was delight. He was always on time and very collaborative on the itinerary for the day (I had a very detailed one but as I'm no expert was very open to hearing about things I'd missed). Hands down, the only way to see Ireland! Joe at Ireland Chauffeur Travel CT made planning this trip extremely easy. Todd and I were both very pleased with the overall service we experienced with this company. Alison was my main contact in the office when I was setting up the trip, and whether I was talking to Alison or one of her colleagues, the conversations were always seamless (the sign of an office that communicates well with one another!). It's really nice to work with a family run business, because that's the kind of service that I felt like I received at every point of contact; there was always a warm familiarity with each conversation. His person and his vehicle were impeccable always - and he was responsive to our needs and any changes we decided to make in the itinerary - like suggesting the falconing at Ashford Castle (falconing was on my bucket list but I didn’t expect to do it in Ireland) - and it was like going to Sherwood Forest with Robin Hood - what an unforgettable experience! We truly enjoyed our vacation with Breda

We truly enjoyed our vacation and Joe and Breda made it all possible. We didn’t worry about a thing, and I wasn’t stressed. Our hardest decision was where to eat, and even then – Breda gave us great recommendations. We will definitely be using you again and referring friends. No big bus coaches for us! Trip of a Lifetime – Top Notch Experience with Ireland Chauffeur Travel

We decided to utilize a chauffeur service to avoid the hassle of renting cars, driving ourselves, etc. Without a doubt, it was the best decision we made especially because we had the good fortune to have Peter Chambers as our driver. We knew from the moment we met Peter that it was going to be a fun trip. His warm personality, and great sense of humor made him instantly likeable.

We had a great experience with Ireland Chauffeur Travel. The touring company is super flexible. They will work with you to build the perfect schedule whether you want a quick tour of the local area or you want to spend the whole day driving across the country to see the Cliffs of Moher (which we did). Our drivers were amazing in their own unique ways. All were personable and we had engaging conversations which made time pass on some of the longer highway journeys. They were also very helpful in accommodating my son who has multiple food allergies, by searching for places where he could eat.
We will most definitely use this service when we go back to Ireland

Unforgettably wonderful

Our first person to communicate with was Alison. Especially patient as we worked out our itinerary, very knowledgeable and helpful of what to do and see, as well as having the hotel contacts, to make our stays convenient and comfortable. Our driver Alan found us at the Dublin Airport, efficiently getting us to our hotel, then escorting us to Newgrange the next day. He, too, was knowledgeable and professional, starting us on our historical journey of Ireland. Then we had the privilege of John Hourigan as our escort and friend for the next eight days. Every day we looked forward to being with him while we traversed ‘his’ country that he shared with us. He was always prompt and upbeat and knowledgeable of the day’s itinerary. I wish we could retain all that he shared. We were able to enjoy some of the excellent restaurant and entertainment suggestions. All in all, this trip was one of the best we have ever had.

Every aspect of this tour was amazing! The office staff Michelle and Aoife were so sweet, friendly and patient. The coach was beautiful and comfortable. The hotels were great! But the real star was our driver/guide. Martin Wilde made our trip so special! He was so knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating and flexible. However, he really outdid himself when we were looking for the town where my father was born and raised until he came to America at the age of 21. I would have been just happy to drive through the town, but Martin did one better. He pulled over and stopped in a shop in the town, and the next thing I know I am speaking with a woman who knew my family members and told me all about them. Perfect Ireland Adventure

I just wanted to thank MIchelle for all her help in making our Ireland adventure with Bob such a success. Everything was perfect! All of our hotels were lovely and very conveniently located. Every single thing about this trip was effortless

Every single thing about this trip was effortless. Alison helped work out the perfect plan for our trip that met every one of the needs of the group. She was quick with her responses to my emails and was incredibly organized. She even went out of her way to help work out a surprise family photo session along the way. One of my favorite things was that she placed our whole itinerary into an app that I could share with the other travelers which eliminated the endless “what are we doing tomorrow” questions! The tour guide (Mia) was fun and knowledgeable and went out of her way to make our tour a little more personalized and special. Mia also had great dining recommendations at every stop which was so very helpful with a larger group. The bus was the perfect size for a family of ten with plenty of room for all the luggage down below and roomy enough inside for everyone to have their own personal space. Everything was absolutely perfect-I could not have planned a better trip myself. And Bob Noonan could not have been a more perfect driver for our family. Michelle was a delight to work with in planning our itinerary and was gracious and knowledgeable as changes were made over the time prior to our arrival. The recommendations made were each “spot on” as the tour proceeded and made our trip all the more enjoyable. Bob Noonan was such a gift to us as our driver as we toured southern Ireland for the first time. His knowledge of the country is exhaustive and included not only the byways as he drove us but the nation’s history and culture in great detail. He was always gentle in his guiding our days and open to changes as new opportunities arose. This included Patty’s discovery of her ancestor’s roots in a town outside our itinerary but Bob not only made a way to visit the town but the actual church where these genealogic records were held!
