Alison is a Tipperary native who is passionate about camogie, the woman’s version of hurling. For the uninitiated, hurling is one of the oldest and fastest field games in the world, native to Ireland.  If you get the chance, Alison recommends that you go see a game of hurling or camogie during your visit to Ireland, it won’t disappoint!

When she’s not playing or cheering on her team from the sidelines, Alison loves getting outside to the great outdoors, bringing her dog, Bailey for a hike. Ireland offers so many great hiking routes, so if that’s your thing, don’t forget to bring comfortable shoes and a good camera to capture unforgettable landscapes you’ll see.

Favourite places:

Alison loves to get away to the Dingle Peninsula, Killarney and Galway to experience the amazing history, hospitality and scenery on offer. She’s particularly proud of the friendliness of the Irish people, something that’s unlike anything you’ll find anywhere else.

Her top recommendations are The Europe Hotel in Killarney for luxury, Chez Hans restaurant in Cashel for great local cuisine in a beautifully theatrical setting and the Epic Museum in Dublin, which is an amazing museum covering the history of the Irish diaspora and their emigration to other countries. Great for anyone with Irish heritage!

This instagram account is one of her favourites @best_of_ireland. It is full of beautiful shots of Ireland that are sure to whet your appetite.

Alison has been created amazing itineraries for our guests for the past 13 years, and looks forward to helping you plan your trip of a lifetime.

“Our travel coordinator, Alison, told me we take care of you from landing to departure – this was absolutely the truth. First class treatment the entire week.”
