Orla Leahy is the co‑founder and CEO of Ireland Chauffeur Travel, a family‑owned DMC specialising in bespoke luxury travel across Ireland, Scotland and Portugal. For over 20 years, her team have been creating tailor‑made itineraries with handpicked accommodation, exclusive experiences and private chauffeur‑driven touring for discerning travellers.
With a background in hospitality, event management and destination marketing, Orla has built her career on exceptional client service and strong industry partnerships, helping to establish Ireland Chauffeur Travel as one of Ireland’s leading luxury DMCs. She leads a dedicated team of Tour Consultants and Driver Guides who create immersive, personalised journeys that are truly journeys beyond the maps, with a strong focus on responsible tourism and supporting local communities.
Orla’s love of travel is rooted close to home. A keen hiker and sea swimmer, she finds constant inspiration in Ireland’s coastline and landscapes, which continue to influence many of the journeys she designs. Deeply connected to Ireland’s coast, she took on the Seafilles Blue Flag Beach Challenge with colleague and friend Biddy Hughes – an ambitious mission to swim at every Blue Flag beach in Ireland in 2025, raising €25,000 for the volunteer crews of the RNLI.
She loves curating the kind of experiences you won’t find in a guidebook – from time with local storytellers to quiet coastal walks that end with a lingering lunch in a family‑run restaurant, or private tastings in small distilleries. Across Ireland, Scotland and Portugal, Orla believes travel should be restful, inspirational and truly memorable – made up of thoughtfully curated moments that quietly exceed expectations.
A passionate cook and devoted seeker of great places to eat, Orla has a special love for Ireland’s food culture. You’ll often find her at local farmers’ markets – especially the Saturday Cahir Farmers Market – or at her favourite seafood spot, Out of the Blue in Dingle. That same love of the sea, food, people and place shapes the way Ireland Chauffeur Travel designs experiences for clients: thoughtful, sustainable and always beyond the maps.
